As long as you have an outer tube installed on your gooseneck trailer that is designed to fit an inner tube with a 4 inch diameter the # BWGNC4250 would install pretty easily on your trailer.
If not, then you would want the # BWGNC4251 instead as this comes with the outer tube that would get welded to your trailer by a qualified welder.

If you have a Fold Down Gooseneck Trailer Hitch like # 8339, that you have referenced, all you have to do is pull on the ring and the ball will fold out.
But there are other types of gooseneck hitches that hide the ball in the bed. Some require a handle that exits from under the bed into the driver side wheel well, like # 9460. "Before towing the 5/8 hex nuts connecting the Post Assembly to the Base Assembly should be torqued to a minimum of 120 ft-lbs. The handle/locking Pin of the gooseneck hitch should not be able to be released when tightened."

The Fifth Wheel to Gooseneck Trailer Hitch Adapter, item # CAB-C5G, can bolt to the fifth wheel plate. There is a collar that is secured to the king pin and then locked into the adapter, but to bolt it on you would then have to drill the king pin plate and install 4 bolts, 4 washers and 4 nylon lock nuts. I called and spoke with my contact at Draw-Tite to confirm. When turned upside down in the Draw-Tite gooseneck trailer hitch, # 9465-34, the ball simply rests inside of the cavity, the handle does not lock it into place. First, make sure that when using the Curt X5 adapter, # C16220, that you are putting it into a compatible Curt Gooseneck trailer hitch (Curt EZr double-lock gooseneck hitches). It is not designed to be used with any other hitch.

The four posts on the bottom of Demco adapter # DM6194 do just sit in the pucks. The gooseneck attachment, which uses ball bearings to secure into the gooseneck ball cavity, is what keeps the adapter in place. The pin weight of the trailer will keep the adapter held down as well. While there may be some vertical movement as there is with any hitch it would not be enough for a sudden and rapid shift of weight to bend the adapter.
